Eggs Thrown at Beijing Apple Store on Friday

On Friday, eggs were thrown at an Apple store in Beijing after customers were told Apple was cancelling iPhone 4S sales.

Customers had been waiting countless hours for the iPhone 4S to come out last Friday but were greeted with nothing. Customers were told Apple was cancelling iPhone 4S sales in Beijing. One customer decided to throw eggs at the store when they were told this bad news. Police arrived shortly after to clear out the disappointed customers.

After this incident occurred Apple said it will be suspending iPhone 4S sales at its five stores in Beijing.

What most customers didn't know is that the iPhone 4S has been sold in other outlets in China. Nicole Peng, a research director with analyst firm Canalys said "They can get the device from other outlets, rather than go to the main Apple store. What surprised me was many people didn't get the message."

All five Apple stores in Beijing were packed with many people waiting for the iPhone 4S to come out while they could have gone to other outlets. This would reduce these huge line-ups and disappointments.
