Get Ready for Angry Birds Space

Angry Birds Space will be released next month. The release is set to happen on March 22.

Rovio, the creators of Angry Birds, have recruited NASA and National Geographic as partners of Angry Birds Space. The reason is unknown. The only reason I can think of is they could help out in the design such as the gravity.

This twist of the original game will mainly have new features such as gravity. This will bring a new aspect of the game. I will be sure to try the trial of the game when it's available!

Mass Effect 3 Launches Into Space

This really is no joke. The release of Mass Effect 3 is closing in and BioWare is making it even better by launching copies of Mass Effect 3 into space.

Six copies will be launched into space at six cities including Berlin, Paris, London, New York City, Las Vegas, and San Francisco. The copies will be launched by using a weather balloon. Each copy will have a GPS on it for tracking. They will be shown on the game's website so everyone can see where they end up. The copies will then land back to Earth. Whoever finds them will be able to play Mass Effect 3 before its release on March 6th.

If you don't plan on running to the landing locations you can try the game out with the demo which is available for Xbox, PlayStation 3, and PC.

Angry Birds Launching to Facebook on Valentine's Day

Angry Birds is coming to Facebook on Valentine's Day. The Facebook version of Angry Birds will possibly have a twist.

The Facebook version of Angry Birds won't be exactly the same as the mobile version. Rovio, the studio who created the game, say the Facebook version of Angry Birds will have new aspects as well as a collaborative feel. It will also focus on the pigs.

Nothing is certain for what the difference will be with this version. But it will still focus on the core of the game.

How Much did Modern Warfare 3 Make? - $1 Billion in Just 16 Days

A very interesting question to wonder. Just how much did Modern Warfare 3 make? Modern Warfare 3 made $1 billion in just 16 days.

Modern Warfare 3 is the fastest grossing video game. It also beat Avatar which had the top grossing before Modern Warfare 3 made $1 billion in 16 days.

It is no surprise to see these profits. Modern Warfare 3's trailer must have caught a lot of attention. Everyone plays or has heard of the Call of Duty series.

Super Mario Land Ends up in Minecraft

Ever wanted to see Super Mario World built in Minecraft? You now can.

This project took over 18 million blocks and took 500 hours to make. In the video you watch the first level of Super Mario World which is made up of redstone and pistons.

The GameBoy is 1:1 in size, this means it is the same size as in real life. The GameBoy is 160 blocks wide and 144 high. Just to make it better there is music using note blocks. This makes it feel even more like Mario.

This project is an amazing thing to see. This huge project is one of the coolest things I've ever seen in Minecraft. What will people end up making next?

Sim City 3000 City has 6 Million Sims - The Perfect City

Vincent Ocasla has mastered Sim City 3000. His "perfect" city houses 6 million sims. His design took him 4 years to complete. This includes figuring out the perfect formula to get the most sims in a limited area.

Magnasanti, the city Vincent created has no roads, no schools, no hospitals, no fire stations, and no police stations. This city is built to maximize the population. Magnasanti is a 50 000 year old city. It took very long to reach 6 million sims!

Vincent explains the city in this intense video:

The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim - Stunning Game

Skyrim came out today. I haven't played a good game like this since Fallout New Vegas.

The game is very nice to play. The graphics are welcoming to any player. The map is enormous to explore. I can see myself playing this game for hours on end. I like how you are able to explore the world at your own pace. You aren't controlled like some games.

One of my favourite things in Skyrim is the skill system. You gain skill as you preform the skill. The tech tree is huge. You an choose from many possible routes. You can be an archer, swordsmen, mage, or mixed. You can play the game anyway you like!

I have just played 2 hours in or so into the game and I must say it's enjoyable. The landscape you see just makes you want to explore.

If you liked the series or even the Fallout series. I recommend this game!

Can Minecraft Keep up it's Sales?

Minecraft has had great sales but you must think of the future. Will Minecraft really be able to continue selling the way it is now?

Updates seem to be the only main way to keep players interested. You can only play a game for so long until it gets boring. If no one plays it no new customers will hear about it.

The problem is Minecraft can't keep on having updates. They don't intend to do that.

Minecraft will just be like any other game. It becomes very popular and then gets old.

How do you think Minecraft will do?

Also here's the behind the scenes video!

Game Review -- R.U.S.E. -- Rife with trickery

Let me start off by saying, this is one of my favourite games. I play it very often, and enjoy it immensely. R.U.S.E.'s gameplay is a heavy focus on illusions and deception, requiring a lot of thought - but QUICK. As a real time strategy (RTS) game, you make decisions on the fly to react to your enemy - Or, if you're good, make HIM react to YOU. I found the campaign to be very engaging, the storyline very dramatic, and the multiplayer is a new challenge everytime.
There are different nations in R.U.S.E., (UK, USA, Italy, France, USSR, Germany and with a 400 point DLC, the Japanese) and these different factions have varying strengths and units. For instance, while the USA are a generally flexible faction, they have no specific strength. Compare this to, say, the Italians, which have fast, cheap units, and while they are weak, they can strike fast and get out, with the heavy artillery support that is also endorsed by the Italian faction.
All of these different factions and units make for hundreds of interesting strategies.
Unit wise, R.U.S.E. is your classic RTS setup, with the standard triangles, but a liiittle more complex. See, you can have tanks, which are effective against infantry, and anti-tank guns, which are effective against tanks but have no use against infantry. HOWEVER, infantry < tank is a flexible rule in R.U.S.E. with the addition of "hiding spots", being woods, swamps and city squares where anti-tank guns, infantry, and more can hide in. Units in these hiding spots cannot be seen without a recon vehicle or recon infantry, which reveal them. When hidden, infantry can use their range-limited but generally powerful anti-tank weapons on tanks that venture too close. This expands in a lot of different ways when you also add armored recon (recon with armor, and a weapon to boot!), anti-air guns, planes, artillery, and even special "prototype" units (late age, usually superheavy units). As I said, every game is a different experience.

So, to summarize:

Campaign (Single Player)
Storyline: 8/10 (It was good, but there are better ones out there.)
Difficulty: 6/10 (Not really that hard, IF you can figure out the patterns and identify weaknesses.)

Multiplayer:
Variety 9/10 (In terms of how many strategies, ways to react, etc., there is many.)
General Gameplay: 8/10 (Its an involving game, makes you think quite a bit. As there are many strategies, there are many different ways to play.)
Length of play per match: Very long: anywhere from 10 mins (not enough for a real match IMO) to an hour (what Tristan and I play)

Overall: 7.75/10

Gameplay is enjoyable, but you must be able to sit down for a while.
Personally, I recommend this game.

Will davidr64yt Leave YouTube?

Davidr64yt may be leaving YouTube. I'm sure his fans won't be to happy about this. His gaming series are excellent and should continue!

Davidr64yt May Make YouTube His Full Time Job

In davidr64yt's recent YouTube video he explains how he might make YouTube his full time profession. But he also has reasons not too. I wonder what he is going to do with his time on YouTube. What do you think?

Age of Empires Online New Features and Fixes This September

Age if Empires has posted on their forum that they are adding new content! They say most of this content will come out this September. One of the coolest new feature is the legendary gear. This gear is ultimately awesome and better then any gear. They also are adding new missions for level 40's.

More new features and bug fixed are as shown:

-Legendary Mode
    -new level 40 quests
    -new level 40 gear
    -new challenges

-Crete Reward Improvements
-Fixed some bugs in the way rewards were being calculated for Co-op players who did not already have the associated quest.
-Added 1 loot chest from the standard quest pool (not the custom Crete Loot Table) to all Crete quests (even “Elite Meet in Crete”)
-Made sure the weekly quest, "Elite Meet in Crete," yields level-40 rewards
-The Challenge difficulty setting now yields level 39 and 40 rewards for players of at least level 38 and higher (to get level-40 chests, select 20 or 30 waves in addition to Challenge or Impossible)
-Increased XP for all standard invasion quests by 20-30%
-Increased Coin reward for 20 waves by 20-30% on average
-Increased Coin reward for 30 waves by 30-50% on average
-Boosted Coin reward for "Elite Meet in Crete," from 300 to 5,000 Coin

-Persians
-You go straight to the action by starting at level 20
-By purchasing the Pro Civ, you have immediate access to top leveling gear, Advisors, and quests. People     looking to hit PvP at a higher level sooner will also really like this type of civ
-This civ acts as a great addition and complement your current Greek and Egyptian civilizations. By owning more than 1 civ, you will also receive an extra unit, the Golden Hippikon.

-Skirmish Hall
    -Huge new maps
    -Configurable AI strategies
-Customized starting resources and AI difficulty

-Additional Work
-Making lots of Co-op and PvP improvements (the feedback has been great).  Some of these will appear in the upcoming patch.  Some are taking longer and will appear in the following patch.  Our team is focused on making both Co-Op and PVP better.
-Improving trade channel and fixing hotlinks
-Improving Co-op rewards—specifically, what rewards people get when helping someone else Co-op.
-We’re still working on the right answer to this.
-We also have fixes in the near future for the following:
        -Exploits in certain quests
        -PVP leaderboard problems
-PVP matchmaking (we know level 40s are sometimes matching with level 5s)
        -Trade scamming

Age of Empires Online GUI Bug

In Age of Empires Online there is a bug where you can't close the equipment tab. To make this happen there are certain steps.

1. Open inventory
2. Open equipment
3. Click on chat bar as if you were going to type something
4. Try to close the equipment tab

When doing this you should be unable to close the equipment tab. To fix it simply close your inventory and then close the equipment. Hope the developers will get time and fix this bug. Can be a annoying from time to time.

One Level to Short

My apology for my earlier post about how the Age of Empires Campaign was short. It turns out I was missing a mission and it triggered Cyrpus, a brand new island full of missions. I was glad to see this! So to change my other post I will say I enjoy the campaign because it was enjoyable and filled with surprises.

Here are the requirements to start Cyprus:

Accessible by: All
Required Booster Pack: None
Required Level: 29
Required Quests: The Defense of Arsinoe

Hope that helps you too.

Age of Empires Online Campaign Was Short

In AOEO I found the campaign was very short and easy. I was able to slide right through it with little difficulty. I was hoping for a long enjoyable campaign but that isn't what I got. Mind you the campaign overall was great but it was just short I found. I guess I'm going to have to stick with 1v1 and 2v2 to entertain me. I hope this will because I have another player who I can play 2v2 with. We play R.U.S.E together online to. We rarely loose :P But anyway I hope this will keep me playing the game for a bit longer. I just wish the campaign was longer.

R.U.S.E is Getting Easy

I got RUSE when it first came out and I've noticed recently online 2v2 has gotten easier. I play with my friend online and we rarely loose now. Then again now that I think of it we could just be getting better. It isn't like many people play RUSE. People prefer basic games like shooters which require less strategy. RUSE is a very heavy strategy game, one of the reasons I got it. Strategy is the best game type for me, I enjoy playing it. I like the ability to strategize instead of running round shooting in a shooter. Anyway since there are less people playing the game there is less competition for 2v2. We do however loose every once and awhile but usually we can get huge win streaks. I hope they end up making another game like RUSE. It is and will always be one of my favourite Xbox360 games.

Bought Age of Empires Online Greek Civilization

Just bought the Greek civilization pack on AOEO so I get all of the content. Without this I was left with little to nothing. I couldn't get the most out of the game without paying for it. When I was in the beta we were given the full game and I assumed that I would get the same when the game came out. I was mistaken. I gave it a day then I decided I was going to buy the Greek civilization to get the full game. It was only $20 CAD, to me that is a great price because most games nowadays are at least $60 CAD. Anyway I've been playing it and have enjoyed it a lot. I enjoy the AOE series and am glad to have this one too. If you enjoy strategy games or any of the AOE I would suggest you give this game a try and may end up buying it. You don't have to be the Greeks, you can be the Egyptians if you want too.
