Anonymous Creates Credit Card Fraud Campaign - Operation Robin Hood

Anonymous and TeaMp0isoN have teamed up and created a credit card fraud campaign. Their alliance is called p0isAnon.

They named their campaign "Operation Robin Hood" which relates to Robin Hood, the English outlaw who stole money and gave it to the poor.

Operation Robin Hood will focus on stealing credit cards and donating the money to the 99 percent. This money will go towards charities and other organizations.

Anonymous and TeaMp0isoN aim at helping the 99% as much as possible. They also are doing this due to the SOPA bill that may pass soon.

P0isAnon said they are not scared of any police, secret service, or any other government law enforcement.

Could this campaign end up hurting the people they are trying to help?

Google Modifies its HTTPS Encryption Method for its Services

Google has modified its HTTPS for its services which use it. This was done for the future when technologies can decrypt general HTTPS.

Instead of just giving the user a private security key. Google's modified HTTPS will delete and create new private keys so they are never the same.

What this will do is stop the attacker from getting anywhere. If they get one key they won't have much because new keys are made. They won't get much data. Even the server admin won't be able to decrypt the HTTPS after its set. Google had to design an extension to support this method since SSL doesn't support it.

Google's modified HTTPS doesn't work in IE. It currently only works in Chrome and Firefox. Google is planning on making it work on IE in the future.

This new HTTPS is very interesting. I think it could make security much stronger. Google just needs to make sure their new method can't be countered.

Black Friday Sales - Get them while you can!

Black Friday sales are booming! Get them while you can.

Amazon is continuing their Black Friday sales until December 3rd. Otherwise you should be rushing to get those sales before they end at midnight.

If you don't feel like going out to those crazy crowds you could shop online. I myself am considering to buy some things online such as a tablet. With these sales I can't turn them down.

Make the most out of these sales!

Stop SOPA - The Future of the Internet Depends on it

SOPA, the bill that will change the Internet. Will it pass? I hope not.

The SOPA bill in the US will enable the US government to censor websites, punish users, and have general control over the internet.

This bill will affect any website the US government thinks should be blocked. The US government will have general control of the Internet in the US. No citizen can freely browse any site they wish. The population will be controlled. Free speech will be affected enormously. If the government doesn't like it they simply can block it and shut it down.

Even though this bill is for the US only it would still affect the world.

This bill must be prevented. Too much control is never good!

Learn more about SOPA with this infographic(Click to enlarge):

This strategy is aimed at increasing the quality of the business. It's just a matter of time before it gets worse.

Amazon Sued by Apple Over Amazon's Appstore for Android

Amazon has been sued by Apple over Amazon's Appstore for Android.

Apple is suing Amazon because they believe they own the words "App Store." Apple doesn't want anyone else using those words when selling apps online.

Apple filed a lawsuit in March to stop Amazon from calling there store "Amazon Appstore for Android." The attempt was a failure.

Apple now tries again and also wants any profits made by Amazon's Appstore for Android.

Apple probably won't get this. It appears that way to me because they have tried before and are still trying today.

Send Money on Facebook Using PayPal

PayPal recently launched Send Money on Facebook. Send Money allows you to send money to other Facebook users.

You can send the money as a greeting card or choose not too. You can choose from hundreds of greeting cards.

The cards are posted to the recipitents' wall. The message is kept private though.

PayPal is getting out to people through social networks. I think this is a great method for PayPal. They can get to their customers much easier this way.

Google's New Music Store - Only US Allowed

Google's new music store is showing great reviews so far. Sadly only US residents can access Google Music unless you have a proxy.

I'd have to say it looks very neat. The only problem is it's only available in the US. They should at least let all of North America try it out. Canada isn't that far away from the US!

I hope they release it to the rest of the world soon. I want to give it a try!

Amazon Increases Kindle Fire Orders

Amazon has increased the order of it's Kindle Fire. This has been the second time they've had to do this.

The original order was 3.5 million units but now it has been raised to four million.

The Kindle Fire comes out next week in the US. Mixed reports claim the Kindle Fire will take a chunk of Apple's iPad sales while others say it won't.

The Kindle Fire looks to be a big hit. But will it really take a chunk out of Apple's iPad sales?

The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim - Stunning Game

Skyrim came out today. I haven't played a good game like this since Fallout New Vegas.

The game is very nice to play. The graphics are welcoming to any player. The map is enormous to explore. I can see myself playing this game for hours on end. I like how you are able to explore the world at your own pace. You aren't controlled like some games.

One of my favourite things in Skyrim is the skill system. You gain skill as you preform the skill. The tech tree is huge. You an choose from many possible routes. You can be an archer, swordsmen, mage, or mixed. You can play the game anyway you like!

I have just played 2 hours in or so into the game and I must say it's enjoyable. The landscape you see just makes you want to explore.

If you liked the series or even the Fallout series. I recommend this game!

World of Warcraft Loses 2 Million Subscribers in 2011

World of Warcraft has lost 2 million subscribers in the past year.

Everyone should have expected this though. No game can last forever. World of Warcraft is still popular however. They still have 10 million subscribers worldwide. It just won't hit that peak.

I myself do not play World of Warcraft but I sure know it won't become nonexistent. It just won't be as recognized to everyone.

Modern Warfare 3 Live Action Trailer - Says Little About Game

When you think of a trailer you usually expect it to give you some info about the product. Modern Warfare 3's trailer doesn't do this.

The trailer is a live action trailer starring Sam Worthington, Jonah Hill, and Dwight Howard. The trailer gave little to no info on the game itself. There were just gunfights and explosions. A different approach to a trailer. I would prefer to have an idea of what the game is about then to have live gunfights.

Explosions and gunfights are neat to see and all but when it comes to the game you want to know what the game is about. Anyway here is the trailer with gunfights and explosions.

Anonymous Does Not Attack Facebook on Saturday November 5th 2011

Anonymous has not attacked Facebook today. They claim they never planned too in the first place. They said an individual claimed this plan was taking place.

The "plan" was to was to take down Facebook via a DDoS attack. The youtube video that claimed this scheme was made by an individual. It was not made by an Anonymous op.

Facebook is safe from something that never happened. What future plans will Anonymous come up with in the future? Will any of them be real?

Apple Ships Less Smartphones than Samsung

Apple has lost it, Samsung has sold more smartphones.

Out of the 118 million smartphones sold in the third quarter, 20 percent were Samsung, 14.5 percent were Apple, and the rest were many others.

Apple has finally fallen below the top. They are loosing their strength in the market and it continues every day. Will Apple be able to hold out for any longer?

Will Anonymous Take Down Facebook Tomorrow?

Tomorrow is that day. Anonymous claimed they were going to take down Facebook on November 5th 2011.

Do you think they will follow through with their promise? Only time will tell. Time to sit back and wait for the possible fireworks to emerge.

Google+ New Feature - Youtube

Google+ has a new feature that lets you listen to music from Google+.

When using Google+ there is now a Youtube logo on the right side. When you hover it you can type in something you wish to play. It then plays that song while you are using Google+.

This new feature is quite interesting. There are two problems I notice with this. When you type in what you want to listen to it automatically goes to the first search result. Sometimes this may not be what you are looking for. The second problem is it opens in a separate window. These problems are minor but they are still there.

This new feature has potential.

Google Chrome Web Store - New Modern Layout

Chome's web store has been changed to a more modern look. It looks sleek and smooth. It is quite appealing to the eyes.

It is now like the Chrome layout, smooth and sleek. It is also easy to find the apps you want and use the web store.

I like the new layout and overall look of the new store. What do you think?

Motorola Lays off 800 People

Since Motorola is becoming part of Google it has been laying off workers.

Motorola cut 3000 jobs in 2009, 1000 in 2010, and it continues this year. How many more will Motorola lay off?

Hope Google has good plans for Motorola in the future.

Bill Gates has Helped Steve Jobs with the Mac

Now you may assume Bill Gates would instead insult Steve Jobs like Jobs did in the past. But no, Gates never said anything negative towards Jobs. Gates just said he helped create the Mac.

In a recent interview on ABC Gates simply explained this.

"Well, Steve and I worked together, creating the Mac. We (Microsoft) had more people on it, did the key software for it."

"So, over the course of the 30 years we worked together, you know, he said a lot of very nice things about me and he said a lot of tough things. I mean, he faced several times at Apple the fact that their products were so premium priced they literally might not stay in the marketplace. So, the fact that we were succeeding with high-volume products, including a range of prices, because of the way we worked with multiple companies, its tough.

"At various times, he felt beleaguered. He felt like he was the good guy and we were the bad guys. You know, very understandable. I respect Steve, we got to work together. We spurred each other on, even as competitors. None of that bothers me at all."

In this interview Gates did not insult or criticize Jobs. He was mannered and got his point across.

Now Gates did in fact help Apple. Apple did go under years back and Microsoft invested in Apple when Apple was going under.

So Microsoft has helped Apple greatly in the long run. Microsoft may have to do it again though. Apple isn't looking the best in sales recently and may not bounce back.

Stop Online Piracy Act Being Prevented

Many companies are showing their concerns on the new Stop Online Piracy Act bill. Numerous companies have sent letters to Congress concerning this bill.

This bill will would allow copyright holders to ask search engines and ISPs to block U.S. access to any site that they are participating in. This means companies such as Paypal or Visa could block their services to any site that violates SOPA.

I think this bill would create "control." The government would have an easier time controlling the US.

What do you think about this bill?

Disney Renews Contract with Netflix - Even Though Netflix Lost Hundreds of Thousands of Subscribers

Disney has renewed its contract with Netflix. Netflix has been losing hundreds of thousands of subscribers over the past months but Disney still renews its contract.

Netflix stocks have dropped over 70% since the summer. Even though this has happened Disney still renewed their contract and even added Alias and Switched at Birth to Netflix.

Disney must see potential in Netflix even though it isn't looking good. They are keeping their hopes to high and needed to back out instead of renewing their contract. On top of that they added new shows! Disney better be careful.

Mexican Drug Cartel Challenged by Anonymous

Anonymous has decided to take on Mexican Drug Cartels. Anonymous threatens to release names, and addresses associated with Los Zetas, a cartel.

This information has been attributed with thousands of deaths and murders. Anonymous threatens because Los Zetas kidnapped a member of Anonymous.

Anonymous released a video that displays their threats. This video however is in Spanish.

A translated piece of the video from the Houston Chronicle:

"We can´t defend ourselves with a weapon, but if we can do this with their cars, houses, bars, brothels and everything else in their possession ... It won´t be difficult. We all know who they are and where they are."

Anonymous is doing some good on the Internet it seems. Let's just see if they can keep it up!
