SOPA Loses Support - GoDaddy Drops Support

GoDaddy, a domain registrar, has dropped support for SOPA.

GoDaddy dropped out because high-profile clients threatened to leave GoDaddy. GoDaddy isn't against SOPA, it just doesn't support it anymore.

Warren Adelman, the CEO of GoDaddy, said “It’s very important that all Internet stakeholders work together on this. Getting it right is worth the wait. GoDaddy will support it when and if the Internet community supports it."

GoDaddy might support SOPA in the future but for now GoDaddy will not support SOPA. GoDaddy has removed past SOPA blog posts to avoid confusion.
